Swimming Pool

The swimming pool and pool house are open from Memorial Day weekend through mid-August. The pool is staffed with trained lifeguards and offers Red Cross swimming lessons each summer.

Parks

City Park, located in downtown Brainard, is handicapped accessible, and has new playground equipment, swings, picnic area and shelter. The park also features the Semin bandstand which was constructed in 2002.

Evergreen Park features a disc golf course, Pickle Ball Court, Gaga ball pit, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball court, new basketball court, picnic area, and camper hookups in a wooded area. Summer Baseball

The American Legion summer baseball program is a popular recreational activity. Teams for young boys in the community are sponsored by Rejda Post #273. For information, contact Tom Pesek at (402) 545-4381. High school boys play summer baseball at Dwight.

Oak Creek Trail

The Oak Creek Trail stretches from Brainard to Valparaiso, Nebraska. The scenic 12 mile trail is fairly flat and easy ride. Runners, bikers, and walkers enjoy using the trail throughout the year.
