The Butler County Health Care Center, located in David City, is a modern, 20-bed hospital with recently remodeled rooms. It is staffed by five doctors who also operate the Butler County Clinic and Witter Family Medicine. A full complement of medical specialists visit the clinic and hospital on a regular basis. The hospital houses a Wellness Center with modern exercise facilities and classrooms. home health care services and a visiting nurse program is provided by the Butler County Health Department. St. Joseph’s Villa, 646 East I Street, and David Place, 260 S. 10th Street, located in David City, are two modern nursing homes with a combined total of 150 beds. The Butler County Senior & Transit, located at 529 D Street in David City, provides meals on wheels, handi-van service and sponsors many activities. For information, call (402) 367-6131. Hot meals are available Monday – Friday.
